I've seen numerous figures and graphs on the CPC site stating that the Mideast (OH, MI, IN) is drier than normal during ENSO events. What is the cause for this? What does La Nina look like for the Mideast? The increased precipitation on the west coast and across the southwest seems straightforward enough, but what's going on across the corn belt? Thanks
